Digital Twins of products in Construction
This seminar is complete, you cannot register anymore. for more information on the theme you can contact Marc Bollen.
BIM ('Building Information Modelling') is a potent driving force, transforming the entire construction process (idea – plan – site – delivery – recycling) digitally. With BIM, all construction partners collaborate on one digital construction model that manages both geometric data (2D-3D), and production features and project information. Suppliers of construction solutions – such as lighting, doors, windows and installation techniques – are therefore increasingly being confronted with requests to provide BIM information. This means as a supplier, it is also important to develop a strategy encompassing your specific role in the construction process, and on how your company can prepare itself to connect with BIM partners.
Although various courses and seminars on BIM already exist, this is usually viewed from the perspective of architects, contractors, principals and project managers. In this case there is less focus on suppliers, and their questions often go unanswered.
This seminar – for and by construction suppliers – provides inspiration, insights and starting points concerning how other companies have approached BIM, and what were the important lessons they learned.
This interactive session supplements the online BIM course, which was specifically developed for suppliers in the construction sector.
