Feasibility study with Braskem for plastics recycling project in North AmericaAgilyx recently joined Chemical Recycling Europe (Photo: Agilyx Corporation)US chemical recycling company Agilyx (Tigard, Oregon; www.agilyx.com) has announced the initiation of a feasibility study with Braskem (S??o Paulo / Brazil; www.braskem.com) to explore the development and construction of an advanced plastics recycling project in North America.

The project aims to find an efficient way to produce polypropylene using difficult-to-recycle mixed-waste plastic. Plastics for the project would be sourced through Agilyx???s feedstock management company, Cyclyx International. The project also targets circular PP with the necessary properties for customer applications such as food packaging, consumer, and hygiene products.

In December 2020, Agilyx joined Chemical Recycling Europe (Brussels / Belgium; www.chemicalrecyclingeurope.eu) after opening a hub outside of Zurich / Switzerland in November last year (see Plasteurope.com of 23.11.2020), while subsidiary Agilyx Corporation became a signatory to the American ???National Recycles Pledge???.14.01.2021 Plasteurope.com [246707-0]
